Paintings
framed in handmade, hand painted frames
By Nancy Rosier of Williamsburg, Virginia
Oil
Paintings
on Cotton Velveteen Fabric Information: This
museum reproduction by Nancy Rosier of Williamsburg Virginia
is based on a old design from 1825. The original theorem
can in the Abby Aldrich Folk Art Museum from time to time.
The
colors used in this theorem remain exceptionally fresh and
vibrant, particularly the reds and greens. The shading of
leaves and fruit produce a strong three-demensional quality.
This
theorem was featured in the June 2006 edition of Early American
Life when Nancy Rosier was select.
This
is a great theorem and very typical of theorems done during
the 1810 - 1860 time frame.

Okay, this is no lie. From the time I unwrapped
my painting until the time we left for dinner (approx
45 minutes) I cried every time I looked at it. All
my husband could do was put his arm around me and
giggle silently as his wife was moved to tears!
Nancy, it is EXQUISITE! It exceeded my expectations
(and believe me, they were high!) 2-fold! I am giving
you the BIGGEST online hug in the world. Nancy,
I cannot express how I feel just THINKING about
it right now! Im tearing up just picturing
it in my mind. No really, Im not kidding.
Your work is fantastic. I read the other day about
the Craft Fair that you recommend in the little
VA town (cant remember right off) and Im
seriously considering making it down there just
to see you and thank you in person.
Thank
you so much! I would fill my home with your work
but I dont want to take away from the rarity
of such a lovely art form. Maybe another piece or
two well see.
Thanks
a million times over! If I make it down in the fall
to the festival I will surely hunt you down!
